During the Thomas Fire we evacuated our home on two separate occasions within 48 hours. We have two small children, 2 cats and 2 small dogs.The first day we left at 4:30AM and found a hotel in Carpinteria. When the fire moved towards Carpinteria we had to leave and find another hotel. It was midnight and when we called Roadway Inn they had one room left. When we did a search for hotels we looked for pet friendly hotels - Roadway Inn came up on that search. We checked in early that morning at 1:30AM. The next day we asked to stay for another night since we were still under evacuation. They said no problem. Then about 30 minutes later the manager came knocking on our door telling us to leave becuase they do not accept animals. He said we had to leave right away. I have so many friends who stayed in hotels that did not accept animals but they made exceptions due to the circumstances. This man kicked our family out of his hotel during a disaster. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone - he is very uncaring and mean when he told us we had to leave.

Stopped by to visit a friend who was a guest. Rooms were clean. Toilet seat was cracked so that could be replaced. Overall it was decent for the price the they paid.
