Authorities closed lanes of Pacific Coast Highway south of Deer Creek Road after a crash Thursday afternoon caused serious injuries. The accident was reported around 3:20 p.m. on a stretch of the coastal highway north of Neptune's Net in Ventura County. Two people were reportedly trapped, according to California Highway Patrol reports. The crash apparently involved a passenger car and an RV. A Ventura County helicopter called to the scene reported landing shortly after 3:45 p.m. The highway was shut in both directions for the emergency response.
