The Ventura County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted Sept. 12 to appoint Korinne Bell as agricultural commissioner. Bell's appointment was made after the retirement of Ed Williams, the previous agricultural commissioner, in August. Bell has served 17 years in the agricultural commissioner's office. During the last seven years she has served as the chief deputy agricultural commissioner. During her tenure with the office, she's climbed the ranks starting as agricultural inspector biologist.
